A Stainless Steel (SS) Nylock nut is a hexagonal fastener featuring an internal nylon collar that creates friction with bolt threads to prevent loosening from vibration. Made from corrosion-resistant SS 304 or 316, these nuts are ideal for high-stress, vibrating applications in automotive, marine, and industrial machinery.

Locking Mechanism: The nylon insert (polymer insert) grips the bolt threads, creating a prevailing torque that locks the nut in place without requiring washers.
Material: Primarily manufactured from Stainless Steel Grade 304 (general corrosion resistance) or 316 (higher marine-grade resistance).
